Corporate campaign contributions by company
In
election period many company take benefit from it through give several offer to
the candidate in election, such as: give offer to provide thousand t-shirt for
the supporters of the candidate, offer the snack for the supporters of the
candidate or even offer to give free chances for the candidate to print the
banner, flyer or any other things that related to the spread of information to
the citizen around the country. But all of the offer that given by the company doesn’t
given free at all, everything must have a return. What does it means? Based on
the theory of the economic “we must get higher benefit from the low capital”,
the theory can obviously reflect the offer that given by the company to the
candidate in election.
Many company want to help the candidate in election by
giving several opportunity to get something is in purposes of promoting their
own product. The condition when the company give an opportunity to the
candidate to get something free or give some allowance to the candidate can be
called as corporate campaign contributions.
The corporate campaign
contributions actually benefit for both side, for the company they can promote
their own product to the large scale of citizen while the citizen support the
candidate, for the candidate they can get free facility from the company that
offer some product to the candidate. The corporate campaign contributions in
1867 has no border, everybody have a freedom to give anything to the candidate
of the election even give all of the product to the candidate until drop.
There
is no laws that regulated or arrange the system of the corporate campaign
contributions in that time until several politicians start to think the way how
to arrange the system of the corporate campaign contributions because if the
partner of the candidate give too much product to the candidate it will result
the probability of corruptions towards the period of the candidate.
After
several conference and meeting held to discuss about the system of the
corporate campaign contributions finally in the beginning of 19th century the
federal constitutions create the law that regulated the system of the corporate
campaign contributions for any candidate. Any party, organization, company or
individual can support the candidate but there are several limitations if the
partner of that candidate would like to give amount of money to support the
campaign period of the candidate.
